Chapter 4 Never Ever

  • As soon as Grace finished, Robt suddenly tightened his grip on Grace's arm.
  • Molly remained calm. "Is that so? What a coincidence!"
  • Sensing that the atmosphere had turned cold, the surrounding people immediately tried to liven up the atmosphere.
  • They gathered together to drink and play games, making it extremely noisy.
  • Molly did not know anyone and did not like to join in the fun. So she just sat on the sofa.
  • Although Robt was with her, his eyes were fixed on the table on the left.
  • Following his gaze, she spotted the most boisterous one right away—Grace.
  • At first, he restrained himself, but when Grace picked up the wine glass in front of him, he could no longer sit still. He suddenly stood up and went over, snatching the wine glass away, his tone dripping with dissatisfaction.
  • "You're allergic to alcohol. Are you crazy?"
  • Because his voice was too excited, the entire hall fell silent. Everyone turned their gazes over.
  • Grace fiddled with the dice in her hand and smiled playfully. "It's been so many years. You still remember this?"
  • Before Robt could speak, a few drunk buddies suddenly came up to him and shouted, "How could Robt forget? When you were dating back then, he only had eyes for you."
  • Upon hearing this, Robt subconsciously turned around and glanced at Molly. His expression instantly darkened as he scolded sternly, "If you've drunk too much, go sober up. Don't spout nonsense here!"
  • The few of them were so frightened that their faces turned pale. Only then did they realize that Molly was here and quickly tried to smooth things over.
  • "Don't drink so much. The game isn't over yet!"
  • "Come, come, come. Next round!"
  • Only then did the frozen atmosphere return to normal.
  • After suppressing the surging emotions in his chest, Robt returned to the sofa, picked up the fruit juice on the table, and handed it to Molly beside him.
  • Molly didn't say anything or ask anything. She took the cup and took a few sips.
  • Her calmness made Robt uneasy.
  • Just as he was about to explain, he heard another commotion behind him.
  • "Grace lost! I'll draw, I'll draw!"
  • "Let me see. You drew the truth. The question here is, if possible, will you get back together with your ex-boyfriend?"
  • In the silence, Grace looked at Robt and smiled. "N-e-v-e-r."
  • As soon as these words came out, the atmosphere in the entire room dropped to freezing point.
  • No one dared to make another sound.
  • However, Grace acted as if she could not feel it and wanted to start a new game.
  • As the group of people dealt with her, they secretly glanced at Robt, who had a dark expression on his face and was about to turn the entire place upside down. They did not even dare to breathe loudly.
  • And in the latest round, Grace lost again.
  • Just as she was about to receive her punishment, Robt could not take it anymore. He grabbed her hand and rushed out of the door.
  • The people at the scene seemed to have expected this scene. No one asked around and went on their games.
  • However, through the French windows, Molly could see two figures arguing not far away and the indistinct sounds of an intense argument outside.
  • As she was seeing this scene, Molly's eyes flashed with complicated emotions.
  • In her impression, Robt did not seem to care about anything. There was always a casual and lazy smile on his face.
  • In the eight years she had known him, this was the first time she had seen him lose control, all because of Grace's "never".
  • It turned out that everyone was equally pitiful when they were not loved.
  • In the end, Robt seemed to be extremely angry and left without looking back.
  • Seeing Grace enter alone, everyone realized that the banquet was about to end and found an excuse to slip away.
  • As for Molly, the main character of the party, who had been left behind, stood up in the chaos.
  • Before she left, she went to the washroom.
  • Through the door, she heard footsteps outside.
  • A moment later, the voice of the girl who was the noisiest at the table suddenly sounded.
  • "Grace, you clearly still like Robt. You came back this time because of him. Why did you say that just now? If you angered him away, how can we get back together?"
  • After the sound of water flowing, Grace replied with a chuckle, "If we don't fight, how can I remind him of what happened eight years ago?
  • "I just want him to remember the heart-wrenching feeling of not being able to get me when we broke up. Only then will he be unable to forget me."
  • "No, it's already been eight years. What do you want exactly? Look at all the girlfriends he has. All of them look like you. Although the one he brought over today has been dating for a long time, it looks like he's just playing with her. It's her birthday today. But Robt's eyes and thoughts are all on you. She's a birthday girl, but she's acting like she's invisible. Funny."
  • Listening to her friend's teasing, Grace chuckled softly before speaking faintly. "You don't understand. The Goodman family is rich and powerful. Robt has an outstanding temper and looks. His family doesn't like my ordinary family background. When the time comes, he will definitely marry a wife who matches him perfectly.
  • "I can only use this method to make his heart completely belong to me. Although we quarreled today, in a few days, when his anger dissipates, I'll give him a way out. He'll definitely forget about the past and come back to me."
  • The next second, the bathroom door opened.
  • Molly was standing not far away and staring right into the two of them!
