Chapter 50 - Come With Me!

• A strange noise jolted me awake, my eyes snapped open instantly.
• I remained in the same position, straining my advanced werewolf hearing. There it was again, soft taps against my window. Maybe raindrops? But my acute hearing didn't pick up any rain outside. I kept my ears sharp, listening intently, and there it was once more. It was midnight, if this was a prank, the perpetrator would soon regret it.
• On tiptoe, I moved to the window and waited. Yes, no mistake, there was that ticking again. So, indeed there was someone messing with me. I sneaked out of my bedroom to the front door and opened it silently. I walked to the back of the house, determined to catch this disturber of my sleep in the act. Hiding behind an apple tree in the garden, I stared at my room's window, inside was pitch dark.
