- It was nearly midnight, and I was lying on the bed with my hands behind my head, staring at the ceiling. I reflected on the most challenging moments of my life. My wolf had already helped me recover swiftly from the injuries sustained in the car accident, but it was my heartbreak that still needed mending. The pain I felt when I saw the man I loved naked under the woman I took for a friend was still raw. It pierced my heart even more deeply than anything Elyon had ever done to me.
