• Allyson woke up to the soft morning light filtering through the curtains of the hospital room. The pain in her fractured arm was constant, but what bothered her most were the memories of the night before. Elin, in her werewolf form, had dragged her to Central Park, and now she was there, bruised and vulnerable.
• Peter entered the room, his face a mask of worry. He knew that being there was a risk, but he couldn't leave Allyson alone. As the pack's alpha, he was Elin's main target, and his presence put Allyson in danger.
