Chapter 4
- Victoria smiled and touched his little head.
- "Of course, I agree with it! This is a good opportunity for you to be emboldened in the stage. Besides, I believe you'll definitely be able to do it."
- "Yes, I won't let you down. I'll definitely take the first prize so that you'll be proud." Franklin grinned, his large watery black eyes flickering with mischief.
- He hadn't thought that it would be done so easily.
- Victoria thought that it was good that Franklin was willing to participate in the competition. It could not only show his ability but also let him be more confident and energetic. He could also become more courageous. After dinner, Victoria borrowed a car from Betty and brought Franklin to register at the Children's Channel station. Betty wanted to go, but given her job, she had to wait at home for news.
- Victoria signed up for Franklin. Franklin was a competitor for playing the piano, so he had to pass a few piano contests first. His small hands were still plump. However, when they were quickly moving on the piano, a string of perfect notes formed and the rhyme was incredible. Several staff members on the side were astounded.
- "This kid is great, and he'll definitely become the most dazzling star on our show. Alright, he passed the test. Our program will be divided into four rounds: preliminaries, semifinals, finals, and the last finals. As long as your son wins the first prize, we'll give him 30 grand for his further study."
- Victoria stroked Franklin's head.
- "Franklin, you can do it!"
- "I'll do my best." Franklin nodded. He had to get the first prize, and he had to be famous.
- After registration, Victoria and Betty took Franklin to have fun for several days.
- The preliminary was coming. Victoria was even more nervous than Franklin. She had confidence in Franklin, but she didn't want him to lose the competition at the first moment. If this happened, it would destroy his confidence.
- Betty, disguised as much as she could, sat in a corner of the auditorium, watching Franklin playing on the stage.
- As soon as the audience saw the four-year-old child showed up on the stage, they were stunned. Soon, they were conquered by his beautiful piano playing. This competition received a lot of attention. All kinds of live-streaming sites' publicity made Franklin a hit soon.
- The internet was commenting on his handsome appearance. Many crazy middle-aged women had been reading his news every day. The excellent piano performance was even more admirable and unbelievable.
- Franklin at such a young age was already famous on the Internet. He gained fame overnight. Moreover, some A&R men had already found him. When Victoria brought Franklin out, they crowded to send their business cards, hoping he could sign with their companies and become a superstar.
- Victoria rejected them one by one. Franklin definitely wouldn't become a movie actor, and she wasn't short of money right now.
- After the preliminaries, the second round of the competition was about to begin. All of the young contestants had shown their unique skills to compete on stage. Victoria was also busy making Franklin prepare for the semifinal. During the preliminaries, he only played a song of level three on the piano, while during the semifinals, he chose one of level four. When the stage became quiet, the spotlight landed on Franklin, who wore a small white suit with a very handsome hairstyle. His back was straight. He sat in front of the piano and his fingers were moving in the keys, as if people's hearts were beating for this music. It sounded great. The perfect melody was really attractive.
- Franklin naturally entered the final, and there were only eight contestants left. Half of them would fail in the finals. The songs chosen by Franklin always attracted the audience, and they exclaimed in admiration. In the end, he stood on the last final's stage.
- On that day, Victoria was also quite nervous. However, she only calmly told Franklin to try his best. The first prize didn't matter that much. What did was to stay calm and face the challenge. After these matches, he had already become more and more famous and many people predicted that he would get the first prize.
- Betty set her job aside for Franklin's big moments. She followed Franklin every day, going to watch all his contests.
- In the last final, Victoria had invited Desmond over, who was proud to see how outstanding his grandson was. In the past, her daughter had a talent for playing piano. After he had sent her daughter to study the piano, she had become more like an artist.
- During these years, Victoria earned her salary by attending the piano performance. Although she wasn't that well-off, she did have a life.
- Now, Franklin was becoming better than her.
- Grace and Kaylin also bought tickets and came over to have a look, but they didn't feel happy at all. Instead, they felt annoyed, feeling that Victoria was trying to regain Desmond's affection.
- Betty followed Victoria to the backstage this time. She comforted Franklin, who was dressed in a suitable tailcoat today, and his hair was slanted and combed to one side, revealing his well-defined facial features.
- "My baby, you're so handsome! Give me a kiss." Betty can't help hugging Franklin and kissing his little cheek.
- Victoria was also very happy. Franklin was so outstanding. As a mother, she was the one who was most proud of him.
- "My boy, tell me, can you get first prize tonight?" Betty gave him confidence.
- "Yes." Franklin was very confident because he had to get first place. Only by being the first would he be able to realize his dream. Only by being the first would he be able to become famous enough to attract the attention of that man who never appeared in his life.
- "That's great." Betty kissed him again and looked at Victoria.
- "I really want one child like him!"
- "Then find a man to get married!" Victoria looked at her with a smile.
- "Do you think it's that easy? It must be someone with outstanding genes! Look at your son, his genes are simply amazing."
- "Godmother, you have to bring me flowers on the stage later!"
- "Sure, I'll be the first one to bring you flowers after your performance." That was what Betty was here for tonight.
- Right now, Franklin's popularity on the Internet had already surpassed hers. She wanted to use a bit of Franklin's fame, too.
- Victoria pursed her lips and smiled as she bent down to look at Franklin.
- "Baby, I don't expect you to be number one, but I hope that you can perform on stage as calmly as usual. Don't be nervous, and don't be defeated."
- "OK!" Franklin felt loved and encouraged. A smile appeared on his little face.
- There were only about ten minutes left before the start of the competition.
- In a hall of a luxurious villa, a fifteen-year-old girl was tightly pulling a fifteen-year-old boy, "Hurry up, it's about to start. We can't miss the last final."
