Chapter 17

• "Roderick, I'm getting anxious listening to all this. Roderick slept with a girl that night and then the girl gave birth to a child." Cassie snatched the right to speak.
• The couple looked at their youngest daughter in shock. Then they turned to stare at their eldest son. "Is what Cassie said true? Do you really have a child outside?"
• "Yes, a son. He's already four years old, three months old." Roderick admitted that it wasn't a bad idea for his sister to speak up for him, because he really wasn't good at this sort of thing.
