Chapter 943 A Wrong Move Triggers a Series of Mishaps

  • Jackson thought the matter would be buried forever, but he did not expect his subordinate to inform him that Arthur had entered his office alone earlier on. Even though he did not believe that Arthur would betray him, he had trusted Arthur with many misdeeds over the years. Moreover, he knew that Arthur wasn’t able to get over what had happened back then; to keep a person who knew him too well by his side was similar to planting a time bomb next to him. Therefore, Jackson used this excuse to get rid of Arthur and remove the cause of any future trouble.
  • However, little did he expect that Arthur—who valued friendship over anything else—would be rescued by his subordinates. In other words, Jackson had made a wrong move that triggered a series of mishaps!
  • “False accusation? How dare you insist that it was a false accusation, Master?! I devoted my loyalty to you for so many years, and I never once disobeyed you. In fact, you are well-aware that I’ve not betrayed you, yet you came up with an excuse to get rid of me, didn’t you?” said Arthur with a sneer as he thought to himself, I spent so many years of my life only to make a fool out of myself.
