Chapter 23 A Conference

• Emma waited and didn't see Lucas come to join her in bed. She got off the bed feeling disappointed. This stupid husband of hers might probably have guessed her intention and hence didn't come to the bedroom.
• She got her outer rob and slipped it on. She went downstairs but Lucas was not there. She decided to check in the quest room and she discovered that it was shut from within.
• She immediately concluded that Lucas had slept in the guestroom and shut it from within to completely shut her out. How smart of him.
