• Two weeks had passed since I'd vowed to keep a closer eye on the triplets, and I was exhausted. I'd been watching them constantly, never leaving them alone for a moment. I'd taken away their privileges, their freedom, and even their friends. But still, I couldn't shake the feeling that they were going to get into trouble again.
• I was tired, so tired. I hadn't slept in weeks, not properly. I'd been surviving on coffee and adrenaline, but even that was starting to wear off. My eyes felt gritty, my head ached, and my body felt like lead.
