  • After the awkward lunch, where Melissa had shamelessly flirted and her mother, Lisa, wouldn’t stop dragging up my past with her daughter, we took a stroll around the cabin. Melissa clung to my arm the entire time. Later we had a light dinner, and I had to practically convince her that I needed to freshen up. That was how I finally escaped to my bedroom, the place spotless and organized, and how I ended up, steam rolling over me as I stood under the shower.
