Chapter 19
- I stood in front of my bedroom mirror, staring at my reflection. The dress hugged my body perfectly, even though I felt a bit strange in it—I’m not really a dress person. But Joss had picked it out for me for today’s occasion: Rhett’s recovery party. I forced a smile onto my face, trying to feel confident.
- There was a knock at the door. I walked over and opened it. The sound of music spilled into the room, and there stood Joss—looking incredibly handsome in a tailored navy blue suit. His crisp white shirt was slightly unbuttoned, just enough to give a glimpse of his toned chest. His cologne drifted in subtly, and his hair was styled neatly. He looked dashing—effortlessly so.
- “Are you ready?” he asked, extending his arm toward me.
