• “I’m here,” I said, stepping into the basement where he had her. My voice echoed against the concrete walls as my eyes locked on Lucas, his silver gun aimed straight at Sable. The sight froze my blood. “I’m here, you motherfucker. Let her go. I missed the fight. That’s what you wanted, right?”
• Coming here, I realized something deep in my gut: I would always choose Sable. Always. No championship, no title, no fleeting glory in a cage was worth her life. If she died because of me, I’d never forgive myself. Winning the fight would’ve meant power, but saving her meant everything.
