Chapter 30 Disguise
- Andrea’s POV
- I adjusted the soft, patterned scarf on my head, its silky fabric slipping slightly as I tucked it back into place. Paired with the large shades covering my face, it was the perfect disguise, or so I thought.
- So why did I still feel so exposed? It felt as though the few pairs of eyes in the café were boring into me as I walked in. I found a secluded corner tucked away from the few people already in the café. The soft clatter of a spoon against a cup broke the silence occasionally, but otherwise, the room felt still and watchful.
