Chapter 8 All Wrong In Your Eyes

  • "Renata is Master's girlfriend."
  • Danas's heart was beating so hard, he gripped the glass in his hand tightly. His heart ached, as if a thorn had been shot straight to the bottom of his heart.
  • A big secret like this was very painful for him. Tears imperceptibly rolled down her cheeks, quickly wiped away by her.
  • "Madam, are you okay?" asked Rangga who saw his master's wife crying.
  • "Yes, it's okay, go ahead."
  • Rangga looked at the girl for a moment.
  • "God, why did You give such a trial to such a strong-hearted woman. You should have made her marry a man who can appreciate her more than she appreciates herself," Rangga felt compassion.
  • He told her everything he knew while looking at Danas' response, he knew she was hurt and devastated to know everything.
  • There was only a forced smile on Danas' lips, but her eyes couldn't lie if she was hurt by the whole explanation.
  • His heart felt squeezed so hard, sliced, and sprinkled with salt, it was so painful, of course there was a tightness in his heart.
  • "Thanks for telling me everything," Danas said.
  • Now that she knew why her husband hated her and wanted her to suffer, it became a question for herself. Who was her husband's sister, who had made him be blamed for the murder.
  • She tried to get up, but her legs wouldn't allow her to stand, so she leaned on the table.
  • Rangga who continued to observe from a distance intended to help, but the man abandoned his intention, while continuing to watch his master's wife.
  • In his heart, he felt sorry for her.
  • Danas sat on the edge of the bed, looking at the man who was now her husband. When she saw the man's face she was always hypnotized by his good looks.
  • The charm of the man she knew, before he bankrupted the family, was very different. A friendly person, always smiling, she no longer found that figure.
  • There is only a cold, untouchable, and rude figure that she now encounters, a figure who wants to make her suffer continuously.
  • Her heart, could not lie if there was still a little taste that might continue to grow if she was with that man.
  • Tears flowed down her cheeks, instantly wiped away by him.
  • "Renata... where are you," Melvin chirped in a dream making her tears instantly unstoppable.
  • She never imagined that he would force her to get married just because she left a week before the wedding. He did not imagine that there was a third person in his marriage, or that he was actually the third person.
  • The feeling of tightness, and the tears that continued to flow made her decide to lock herself in the bathroom and turn on the shower, and start crying under the shower water.
  • Her crying stopped when there was the sound of the door being banged on from outside with great force.
  • "Oke, I'm going out," she exclaimed as she took off her wet clothes and put on a gray bathrobe.
  • "What are you doing inside, why did you take so long to open the door."
  • "I-I was taking a shower," she stammered, then hurried out of there to let her husband use the bathroom.
  • Melvin just stared strangely at her, as he glanced at the wet clothes there, even the toiletries were untouched.
  • But the man ignored what Danas was doing, preferring to wash his face. Occasionally he exhaled, then sniffed it.
  • There was a strong smell of alcohol on his breath.
  • Danas quickly got dressed, when she saw her husband in the bathroom, she didn't want him to see her changing.
  • When Melvin came out, the man's eyes glanced at Danas who was drying her hair, exposing her slender neck.
  • There was a feeling of annoyance when he saw that.
  • "Is she flirting with me right now?" Melvin thought as he looked at his wife who was sitting at the dressing table.
  • Melvin walked over to get some mineral water from the refrigerator, but his eyes couldn't escape seeing Danas.
  • "Shit, am I flirting with her?" he swore as he opened the bottle cap with a bang.
  • It was nighttime, very crowded but they chose not to go out. Even during the night, they didn't speak a word, Melvin was busy with his gadgets, while Danas was busy watching TV.
  • They even slept separately. Danas slept on the sofa, while Melvin slept on the bed.
  • Mini dresses, loose hair, and round hats are the style Danas is wearing right now. Rangga told her that they were going for a walk, so she chose clothes that were simple to wear. The mini dress she was wearing was bought three years ago before her father went bankrupt, but it still fit her well.
  • A smile appeared as they walked down the street, while Melvin, who saw it, chuckled.
  • Everything about Danas, his dislikes, his smile, even the joy that Danas was feeling.
  • His mind was drifting back to his memories with Renata, the girl of his heart, thinking about her made him smile and sad at the same time.
  • After visiting the tourist attractions, they chose to rest while filling their stomachs at a restaurant.
  • Danas ordered food using German, making Melvin and Rangga wonder how the girl was so fluent in German.
  • Considering that Danas had been chatting with them on the road, Rangga understood that his master's wife was fluent in German.
  • "Mr. Melvin?" greeted someone approaching their table.
  • Danas looked at the origin of the voice that greeted her husband. It was a married couple holding hands. An elderly man, even his hair was filled with gray hair.
  • Melvin didn't respond, the man only responded when Rangga introduced the couple, if they were important clients of their company.
  • "Are you on a business trip?" the man asked.
  • "Nope."
  • The man's eyes looked at Danas who was sitting in front of Melvin.
  • "Is she your sister? I heard you have a sister, I don't know if she's very pretty," the old man said making Melvin's face change. "Does she have a boyfriend? If not, I'd like to introduce-"
  • "No, she's my wife, not my sister." Melvin cut off the man's words.
  • "I-wife? Oh god, I'm sorry. I didn't know, if you already have a wife, she's very beautiful, very suitable to be your companion."
  • Melvin smiled forcefully.
  • "We haven't been married long, we came for our honeymoon," Melvin explained. "Right dear?" The man looked at Danas making the girl follow with a smile, a forced smile of course.
  • "W-we apologize for interrupting your time. If you'll excuse us, please enjoy your honeymoon," the man said and left.
  • Danas looked at her husband's face, which was clearly emotional. Lunch was canceled because of that.
  • "Prepare for the flight tonight."
  • His order instantly made Rangga round his eyes.
  • "Sir, are you serious, want to come back soon?"
  • "Yes."
  • "Okay, I'll prepare everything."
  • Danas lowered his gaze, while tightly clenching his hands that were on the table.
  • "You're satisfied, ruining my life?" Melvin asked, making her look at him.
  • Their eyes met for a moment, before Danas looked down again. ""I'll always be wrong in your eyes," she thought to herself.
