Chapter 6 Flying To Germany

  • "I found Ms. Renata!" Rangga exclaimed.
  • Rangga's words made Melvin stop his superior's footsteps. Moreover, hearing that he found Renata, Melvin was so enthusiastic about knowing the whereabouts of his lover.
  • "Did you find her? Where? Where did you find her, tell me!"
  • Rangga was now being pestered by his superior's questions making him not know what to answer to the man in front of him. Melvin was so enthusiastic about what Rangga said, he wanted to meet Renata immediately.
  • "In Germany," Rangga answered briefly.
  • Hearing that his lover was found, made Melvin feel a little relieved, the man didn't know what to do, his footsteps were confused about where to go.
  • Rangga, who saw that, could clearly see that his boss was happy with the information he had just conveyed.
  • "Cancel all meetings! I'll go get her. I don't want anyone to disturb me." Melvin said.
  • "What about Madame if you leave, sir?"
  • Hearing Danas' name mentioned, made him instantly frustrated as his sense of happiness instantly vanished.
  • "Argh. Shit. Just leave her alone!"
  • Rangga scratched his head, he didn't understand his superior's thoughts. Leaving a woman with the status of a wife, for the girl who left him. He even thought if his boss had been hit by a spell to make the man love the woman so much and abandon his wife.
  • "Okay, I'll book the ticket for you, sir."
  • Melvin nodded his head. "Good." He muttered softly while pacing back and forth.
  • There was a happy look on his face.
  • "Book a ticket for her. I should go with her. I'm afraid, if there's someone who asks about me, I'll have to keep an eye on her, so as not to spill the beans."
  • Hearing the hazel-eyed man's words, made Rangga slightly carve a smile.
  • "Would you like a honeymoon, sir?"
  • "Are you insane? No. I just don't want her to say anything bad while I'm gone." Melvin instantly cut off his handsome assistant's words. "What's a honeymoon for, I'm not going to do it with that disgusting woman. I went there looking for Renata, not to sleep with that girl," Melvin emphasized.
  • Melvin looked at Rangga seriously, the man was chuckling. "Go get her, I'll be waiting at the airport."
  • "Okay."
  • Along the way, Rangga frowned and even swore occasionally.
  • "Confusing. If you hate it, why marry it, sir? Moreover, she was not treated like a wife. A beautiful, independent woman, many like Mrs. Danas, but-"
  • Her words were choked off.
  • "Yes. Perhaps I would be like you, sir, if I were in his shoes," she murmured softly. "But, I pity Madame."
  • He stopped ranting for a moment. "But, why am I bothering with Mr. Melvin's family problems? That's his business, I'm just carrying out his orders."
  • The man looked stupid, talking and ranting to himself.
  • "Right, I shouldn't think about what I shouldn't think about," he muttered as he turned off the car engine.
  • Now his footsteps, looking for Danas all over the house, but not finding the girl in the house.
  • "Has Mr. Melvin come back?" A voice startled her.
  • "N-no," he replied with a slight stutter. "Where is Mrs. Danas?"
  • "She's in the garden."
  • Hearing this made her step into the back garden of Melvin's house. There was a smiling Danas, feeding the fish in the pond.
  • There was a slight tremor in her heart, when she saw Danas' smile that was so shady, that it made her feel her heart.
  • Plak!
  • She slapped his cheek lightly.
  • "Wake up Rangga, don't fall in love or you'll be hanged by Mr. Melvin for liking his woman."
  • The man let out a long sigh.
  • "Madam..." he called out.
  • Danas who was smiling instantly put on a frightened face, when she saw Rangga.
  • "Did he come home?"
  • "No, I'm alone," Rangga replied, making Danas' face change slightly.
  • "So why'd you come alone?" asked Danas who was curious about the man's arrival.
  • "Master is leaving for Germany! He told me to pick up Madame.”
  • "G-Germany?"
  • Rangga nodded his head. "The plane will leave at 2pm. Madame can still pack up first. There is no need to bring clothes, you can buy a change of clothes when you get to Germany."
  • Danas just smiled wryly. Melvin's return always made her body respond with fear to that man. Even when he heard that name being called, it sent chills down his spine.
  • "Madam only needs to change clothes."
  • Danas twisted her body, making Rangga stop suddenly and bump into the girl.
  • "S-sorry," she said while taking a few steps back.
  • "Can you wait for me, just a minute?! I promise, it won't take long."
  • Rangga nodded slowly. "Shit. My heart is beating fast. Mister, I hope you're not listening to this heartbeat of mine," Rangga swore to himself as he smacked his cheek lightly.
  • "What are you doing?" asked Danas.
  • "N-no. Madam, I'll wait for you in the car."
  • The car was now approaching a private jet.
  • Rangga got off first, then he opened the door for Danas. Please Madam, master is waiting for you." Rangga said with a smile.
  • Somewhat hesitant, the girl stepped up the stairs.
  • "Please come in, madam.”
  • Sighing softly, she prepared herself for what would happen inside when she met Melvin. There were only smiling carvings given to those who worked for her husband, she at least wanted to make a good impression.
  • When she entered, the first thing she saw was Melvin's hazel eyes looking at her coldly. Seeing that cold expression made her heart ache. It felt like there was no love for her, only hatred that her husband gave her.
  • She didn't ask to be loved by that man, she just wanted to be respected as a wife. What wife would put up with the cold look her husband gave her. She too was just a woman who had feelings of wanting to be appreciated.
  • "I'm your wife. Can you not look at me with that look like I'm your enemy?" she asked silently.
  • The girl did not dare to say what she was thinking. She chose to sit opposite Melvin, staring out the window, being served by a flight attendant who offered her a drink.
  • "No, thank you," she refused.
  • Melvin glanced across. His wife was staring out the window, where Danas was tying her hair, making her slender neck visible. She didn't even realize that the man across from her was staring at her.
  • "Put your seat belt on, or you want to die here," Melvin ordered, looking at Danas who wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
  • The girl obeyed her husband's orders.
  • When the plane was above altitude there was only silence. The few flight attendants on duty only looked at the couple.
  • “Did they fight?" one asked in a whisper, making Rangga stare at them.
  • “Come here! you don't want them to think we're fighting, do you?"
  • Melvin's voice made Danas glance at him.
  • "Did you come here or did I come to you?"
  • Danas was silent and didn't answer. "Danas," Melvin called. This time his voice was a bit higher.
