Chapter 12 Crushed Hope

• Leah impatiently waited the entire day to pass and the night to arrive. She kept staring at the window, watching the sky slowly change colors, wishing it would just hurry up and get dark already.
• Though she ate without complaining and took her medicine on time like she was told, her mind was made up and she was going to escape this place tonight. She didn’t have to sit and think too long to reach that decision, because how could she stay here with a random man she didn’t even know?
