Chapter 10 Bitter Comfort

• Contrary to what Leah thought last night, she ended up falling into a deep and peaceful sleep. She didn’t even know when her eyes had closed. But the next morning, when she opened them again, her heart instantly filled with regret.
• 'Why did I fall asleep?' she thought, sitting up quickly on the bed.
• But as she moved, she noticed her body didn’t hurt like it usually did. The pain was still there, but it wasn’t as bad. It was way less than the pain she was used to. And then it hit her, this was the first time in three years that she had slept this peacefully.
