• I opened my eyes after Richard left, my eyes a cold shade of green. My heart felt dead inside, and I was just numb. I couldn't think or hear anything, except for voices that drifted into my mind while I was asleep.
• In the end, Olivia still pulled a fast one on me. Even though Richard wouldn't let her off, I felt bitter. Worse, Liam was back, stronger than ever. And he was still suspicious of me. Staying here had become impossible. I must leave. Otherwise, I would have no means of survival.
