Chapter 55 “Girlfriend?”

• “Hello, am I on to Catherine Flora?” the voice spoke from the other end of the phone. She glanced at the caller ID once more, an unknown number. She didn’t get calls often, so anytime she did, she got a little tensed. Could it be mum or dad? Who wants to talk to me? Who wants to see me? Her heart would race in anticipation of something good, promising even. Was it just wishful thinking?
• “Yes, you are,” Catherine said hesitantly. Who was this strange female calling her? She couldn’t recognize the voice. It was definitely not her mother.
• “Here,” she hears the lady say, then some rustling follows before the phone is passed and she hears a familiar voice. What is happening?
