• “The sooner you understand that my attachment is not to this place but to you, the better,” she smiled fondly. “I like you, Donovan.” He was flushed. Was Catherine a day drinking? What was he going to say to her? She liked him? Donovan never knew the idea of love growing up. After his father left, everything turned sour.
