- Coming out of her shocked state, Zara’s face lit up with a bright smile. The storm in her thoughts and emotions that she carried with her throughout the drive to Deen’s house melted like wax the moment she saw Deen. Deen was still the same, with the same quiet intensity about him, the one that was always conveyed with unreadable eyes, with his posture erect and his presence dominating as it was before. But this wasn’t like the first time they met; she was not scared nor felt like she was being swallowed by his aura; rather, she felt more intrigued, drawn, and comforted. Her eyes surveyed his body as he walked closer to her; she studied each angle of his body, from his dark jeans to the soft black sweatshirt that clearly defined how chiselled his form was, the subtle tension on his jawline that carried his smile, and she took it all in with an intense glance. He looked effortlessly magnetic, and she couldn’t hide her stare; she wasn’t even trying to hide it.
