• The Gulf of Mexico is a bay where the Atlantic pushes into the southeast of the North American continent, shaped roughly like an oval. Most of it is ringed by the territories of the United States and Mexico, formed when land sank during the Mesozoic.
• The Flo-Sea Prison in the U.S. sits right there. Flo-Sea is made up of more than a hundred floating prisons. These waterbound cells look like ships: they can weigh anchor and sail, or drop anchor and stay put. Each one has living quarters, alarms, and communications.
• These floating prisons keep tight links with the mainland. Inmates even have to do fishing work out at sea.
