Chapter 86 Lupine Raises Hell in Tokyo (IV)

  • Mount Fuji, the tallest peak in the islands, is a dormant volcano. At 3,775 meters, its summit pierces the clouds. The air up there runs cold, so it stays snowcapped most of the year. From a distance, it looks like a fan hanging upside down in the sky, hence the nickname “the Jade Fan.” Locals worship it as a sacred mountain.
  • Right now, Lewis Snow was strolling at the foot of Fuji, because the “Red Python Organization” sat right beneath it. If he hadn’t heard Yamaguchi Yokogang say it himself, he never would’ve guessed the group hid here. This is a volcano. If it blows, not even ash will be left.
  • Because of the year-round snow, you can only reach the summit in the heat of July and August. The rest of the time, regular folks can only get to the Fifth Station, about 2,305 meters up.
