Chapter 42 Devilish Intervention

• Coughing and gasping for breath, Nora and Carl struggled to stay on their feet. The internal bleeding only worsened by the minute, and before long, the blood loss took such a heavy toll on their bodies that they passed out on the cold, hard ground.
• Liam remained conscious a while longer, desperately trying to crawl back to Nora.
