• Liam stepped on the gas and quickly changed gears, speeding off across the field as the tremors got worse.
• As the earth shook feverishly, the ground cracked like sunbaked clay, flinging rocks and pebbles into the air as the topsoil crumbled. Trees came crashing down all around them as the quake intensified.
