Chapter 46 Jungle Fever
- OAKLYNN
- “I feel so much better,” I beamed at my all-wise and all-knowing husband. He was more than just a pretty face. “Thank you, Commander.” The prescribed meds were doing wonders. I had to at least do this for him. He was a fitness freak and into hiking and running-I wasn’t. So, when he suggested a walk through the forest, I was more than happy to indulge him.
- Kylo had insisted we make a quick detour to the pharmacy, and we spent a long time arguing. I hated medication, he was well aware of this-and avoided taking it by all means. I was one of those special people who would rather suffer the agony of pain instead of taking the easy way out and popping a pill or two. I struggled to swallow pills, especially if it was in a capsule. My throat would kind of close up, and I’d have a mini-panic attack trying to get it down. And don’t get me started on injections or hospitals. They were my hard limit. The only way I’d go there was if I were restrained or knocked out. Kylo and my parents always laughed when they pointed out I’d be going to the hospital in a couple of months. I would deal with it then. I still had six months to talk myself down. If not, I’d be in too much pain to care, so it would still work in my favor.
