• Oaklynn was a ball of nerves as we neared Kyle and Maya’s skyline tower in Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row. The building had a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view of the city and was listed as one of the most expensive apartment buildings in the country. We parked underground, then a porter escorted us to an elevator that took us up to the penthouse level. The doors slid open, and we stepped out of the lift, and Oaklynn was struck speechless. “You said they own the whole building?!”
• “Yes.” I’d already told her they’d gifted each of us with a penthouse. Jordan, Corbyn, and I, as well as our significant others, were all joint owners of the tower. “We all do.”
