Chapter 8 Consummating The Marriage
- Anastasia felt a pang in her chest, but she had to remain calm; the most important thing was for her mother to receive her treatment.
- She watched every move Sebastian made. Leandro, who was a bit kinder, offered Anastasia something refreshing to drink.
- This bothered Sebastian, so he made sure to tell Leandro that he liked Anastasia.
- When they left the company, a Jeep was waiting. Sebastian had bought it specifically to visit the lands. When he wasn’t blind, he was in charge of supervising.
- Sebastian got in as a passenger, and Anastasia sat in the back seat while Leandro prepared to drive slowly.
- “They are planting,” Leandro informed.
- “And the pace of work?” Sebastian asked.
- “So far, so good.”
- While Leandro informed Sebastian, Anastasia was lost in her thoughts, thinking only of her mother. The girl had had a bad day.
- Yet, she fixed her gaze on the vast harvest field. It had become her favorite spot—everything was so neatly arranged, and the delightful breeze conveyed a sense of peace.
- Once the work was done, Anastasia was still silent. Leandro took them to the Parrow house.
- “If you need anything, you call me, boss. I have to go out and do some things.”
- “Okay,” Sebastian replied, continuing to walk. Anastasia followed in his footsteps.
- When she entered, dinner was ready, but Anastasia didn’t feel like eating—especially because it was that wicked woman who had prepared it.
- “Why aren’t you eating?” Sebastian asked when he didn’t hear her utensils.
- “I have no appetite, sir.”
- “You must feed yourself.”
- “I don’t want to. Or will you force me to do it?” she asked, regretting it immediately.
- Sebastian dropped his utensils in anger, and his gaze withered.
- “How dare you speak to me like that?”
- “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to,” Anastasia apologized.
- “Get out,” he ordered furiously.
- “But... I said I was sorry.”
- “Your apologies mean nothing to me. Since you don’t want to eat and you’re very rude, go to my room and prepare my night clothes,” Sebastian ordered arrogantly.
- Anastasia got up, very angry, and spoke softly.
- “If you have something to say to me, say it now,” growled Parrow. She blushed, and her heart started beating fast.
- “I didn’t say anything, sir. I’m leaving,” said Anastasia, quickly leaving. Although it was a bit difficult because the farm was very large, the girl finally arrived in the room.
- “What are you doing here, damn woman?” Sara asked. Wearing a red dress, she looked very sensual.
- “I’m here to do my job,” Anastasia replied, searching Sebastian’s closet.
- But Sara, very angry, pushed Anastasia, hitting her and injuring her ankle.
- “What’s your problem with me?” Anastasia cried out. She didn’t like Sara’s attitude at all.
- “I hate you. I’m the woman Mr. Parrow needs, not you. You’re just selfish. Go away,” Sara snapped.
- “I’m not going to do what you say. You better leave. The boss will come, and he’ll be angry if his things aren’t prepared.”
- Sebastian, who had lost his appetite because of the bad mood Anastasia had given him, preferred to go to his room.
- “What’s going on here?” Sebastian asked.
- Sara played the victim.
- “Mr. Parrow, I came to tidy up your pajamas, but your new employee got into trouble,” Sara informed, looking at Anastasia incredulously.
- “Do you like causing trouble, Anastasia?” Sebastian asked, annoyed.
- “She’s lying, sir,” Anastasia responded, wanting to cry. She didn’t expect so much hatred.
- “Get out of my room, Sara. Anastasia is my wife, and from now on, she will take care of my personal affairs.”
- This news was a cold shower for Sara.
- “But sir...”
- “But nothing. Now go, Sara,” Sebastian ordered impatiently.
- Sara looked at Anastasia and then left.
- Sebastian closed the door, which somewhat distressed Anastasia.
- “What are you waiting for? Prepare my things,” grumbled Sebastian, and she jumped in fear.
- Anastasia went back to the closet and looked for Sebastian’s clothes. The thing that made her blush the most was having to choose Sebastian’s underwear.
- Having everything ready, she turned around—and Sebastian was naked. In shock, Anastasia dropped his clothes.
- The young girl quickly turned around, flustered. It was the first time she had seen a man so naked in person, and she started to sweat.
- Sebastian knew perfectly well what was happening. Without blushing, he headed towards the bathroom. Anastasia started to breathe, feeling a wave of heat running through her body. Now, the vivid, naked image of Sebastian Parrow would be in her thoughts.
- She didn’t know if she should leave or not, so she had to wait very impatiently. Anastasia started to walk around the room. When she got to the dressing table, she saw a portrait of Sebastian next to a beautiful woman. In the photo, he looked happy and radiant, which melted her heart even more.
- She picked up the portrait and gazed at the woman, who was Maria, Parrow’s ex-fiancée.
- She was lost in her thoughts until she heard the bathroom door open. She placed the photo on the dresser without making a sound.
- Sebastian came out of the bathroom, drying his hair with a white cloth. Anastasia saw him naked again and covered her eyes.
- “Sir, you know I’m here. You should cover yourself,” she said in a broken voice.
- “I’m in my room. I’m not going to stop doing what I’m used to just because you’re here,” he replied arrogantly.
- “Then I’m leaving,” she said, turning around with her eyes closed.
- “Stop! You have to sleep with me,” he said in a demanding tone.
- “Mr. Parrow, you clearly say that I am your wife for society, but at home, I am your maid. It wouldn’t be right to sleep in the same bed,” she said nervously.
- “Exactly. You are my servant, and you are here to serve me. You must do what I want. Now you will sleep with me.”
- “I’m sorry, Mr. Parrow, but—”
- “No ‘buts’!” Sebastian interrupted. She lowered her eyes, literally not expecting this. It was clear that he hated her. “I want you to keep in mind, Anastasia, that I am your owner. If you contradict me, I will be more ruthless. If you obey, you will have a reward in return.”
- He leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. “Now, what’s about to happen next is simple. We will consummate this marriage.”
- The words hung heavy in the air, charged with undeniable tension, as her heart raced in anticipation of what would come next...
