Chapter 7 University

• “Oh you're here! Ah, ah— ” When someone spoke from behind her, Kia looked at her back, causing her to slip. She closed her eyes, expecting the floor to catch her, but Ares grabbed her waist. "Are you okay?" Ares asked her worriedly.
• Because of what had happened, Kia was unable to respond. Ares gently loosened his grip on Kia's waist and assisted her in standing up. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize the floor was wet. Don't worry, I'll fully clean it."
• “Ahh— I'll just be careful next time. Thank you.”

• Why does he make it so fancy to hold me? It’s like a bossy President in soap operas. You are really crazy Kianna Myst Saavedra!
• I'm not sure how long I've been replaying what happened earlier in my head. Am I losing my mind? I've been attempting to sleep, but tiredness doesn't bother me at all. Although the bed in Ares' room is comfy, I am still unable to sleep. Maybe I won't be able to sleep if I keep on thinking about things.
• “Sh*t! We have a class coming up! What am I supposed to do? " Suddenly, it occurred to me that it was now Monday. I looked up at the clock that hung above the door.
• "What ?! It's 4 a.m.?! " I covered my mouth with my hands because I was shocked, and then rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing things correctly. How did it happen that it's four o'clock already? It feels like I just entered this room.
• FLASHBACK
• “Ahh— I'll just be careful next time. Thank you… ”I whispered and for some inexplicable reason I suddenly felt deprived.
• He drew me closer to him, which surprised me once again. "How about we get some rest?"
• "Ah— uhm… Can we go to sleep together?" He suddenly smiled. HHe must've noticed my anxiousness and saliva swallowing.
• “Relax, I won't force you if you're not comfortable with that kind of thing. For now, I just want you to make yourself comfortable here. This is your home now, our home. ” He spoke softly.
• His look was so domineering that any woman would fall for him. He tenderly kissed my right hand. I just want to grip and cuddle his hand because it's so warm.
• Thump— Thump— Thump—
• My heart started racing as if a dog was chasing me down the street. To break the silence, I asked, "Where can I sleep?"
• "Right here," Ares said, pointing to the first room. "The bed is ready for you, so take a shower so you can go to sleep. I'm just going to finish some work." he said, and I nodded back.
• END OF FLASHBACK
• Since I've been able to lie down in bed, all I've done is replay what happened earlier in my head. I still have a few hours of sleep left, so I'll probably push myself to sleep. I hugged a pillow. I inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. I repeated it multiple times to calm myself, and eventually fell asleep.

• Kia woke up at noon so she moved quickly to get ready. He didn't bother to take a bath anymore and just filled his body with perfume. When she left the room, she noticed that Ares was no longer there. She went straight to the kitchen to get her tumbler in the fridge when she noticed the covered food on the table and it even included a note.
• I need to leave early. I forgot to inform you last night, so please accept my apology. I didn't wake you up because you seemed to be sleeping well. Eat the breakfast I prepared for you! I love you.

• "He's really making an effort to cook for me…" Kia said, smiling. She sat in the chair and, as Ares had instructed her, quickly ate the food that had been prepared for her.
• She was unable to tidy the dining areas and left the house in a hurry. He ran to the jeep. Fortunately, there were two more seats so she got on board right away.

• Meanwhile, Kia's classmates are busy gossiping at school. Lunch is almost over, but their friend has yet to arrive. While talking about Kia, they huddled in the back.
• "That's strange... Kia hasn't been missing since the beginning of class... I haven't even received a message from her saying she'll be absent today," Miaree, Kia's half-Japanese best friend, stated.
• "Oh no! Our next teacher is an absolute nightmare. Once she discovers that Kia is absent, she will undoubtedly be reprimanded. Ma’am will think again that the students are just absent because we are afraid to enter her class. ” Their class president Marc worriedly said,
• “You guys really have time to worry about her? You know if Mrs. Ramos will scold her, then it's her fault. So please shut up and return to your seats. All of you are so fucking loud, are you chickens?” Vera said angrily and suddenly groaned. She was Vera Eunice Ventura, the self-proclaimed campus crush at their University.
• Miaree's blood began to boil as she heard what Vera said. She approached Vera's seat and turned to face her. "Can you just mind your own business, Vera? You're not a part of this conversation, therefore you're the one who should shut up," Miaree stated, pointing at Vera. "Don't you have a friend to chat to?" Miaree inquired.
• Vera's face quickly turned red, as if it would explode at any moment. "How dare you?! You're a dog next to Kianna! Stop acting like we're on the same level!"
• "Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't be talking to you because we're not at the same level, you're not at our level yet, Eunice." Miaree smiled in a playfully teasing manner
• "Argh! Don't call me by my second name, you dirty hound!" Vera screamed so loudly that it practically filled the room. She grabbed her book and suddenly threw it at Miaree but luckily Miaree avoided it quickly.
• "You know what, Vera? You look more like a dog there because of what you’re doing. Stop barking like you've lost your boss's leash. What a mad dog!"
• "Hi guys! Sorry for coming late." The voice from the door drew everyone's attention quickly. Before entering their room, Kia smiled at everyone and apologized for arriving late.
