Chapter 33
- The door closes behind me with a soft mechanical click, sealing me inside the room with Dominique Voss. He’s seated behind a massive desk, his body relaxed in a leather chair like he owns the air I’m breathing—which, technically, he does.
- Leonardo Voss is the first to react. He swivels in his seat, taking me in with a familiar glint of charm and mischief in his eyes.
- Both pairs of blue are locked on me. One of them is playful. The other—Dominique’s—is burning.
