- I groan as I slowly peel my eyes open, squinting against the pounding in my skull. It feels like a rock concert is happening inside my head. My hand flies to my forehead, massaging my temples.
- How much did I drink last night?
- I blink, trying to adjust to the low light, but something feels… off. This isn’t my room. Even in the dimness, I can tell. And the sheets—definitely not mine. They’re silk. I don’t own silk sheets.
