- The following day I had a meeting with the client who was interested in buying one of my paintings. He had proposed we do breakfast and talk business while at it. I hurriedly gathered my belongings as my heart raced with a mixture of excitement and nerves. I picked up a chic yet professional outfit giving myself a quick once-over look in the mirror making sure I looked polished. Today’s meeting could be a turning point for my art career.
- “Okay, I think that’s everything. I’ve got the sketches, the proposals, and… oh, the samples!” I said as I rushed back to my studio, where my recent paintings lean against the walls. carefully selecting smaller canvases, I slide them into my portfolio, mentally rehearsing what I will say during the meeting.
