Chapter 1021 Tempering the Flesh!

  • Wave after wave of ice crystals kept surging toward Michael Shephard, who had been frozen into a human-shaped sculpture. But now, it was pointless. The chunks of ice on him cracked apart, piece by piece, and he stepped out of that sculpture like a butterfly breaking free of its cocoon.
  • His cotton coat had been shredded earlier when facing Anna and the Zeus head’s attacks. Now he wore only a few underlayers. In this far western wasteland, that looked a bit too thin. Yet Michael didn’t seem to care about the brutal cold at all. He showed zero signs of feeling it. His hair drifted lightly in the wind; his eyes were bright and clear. The skin exposed to the air was baby-smooth and flushed with color, glowing even in the icy blast, untouched by the chill.
  • “He… he actually tempered his body under our attacks!” Zeus blurted, stunned. He never imagined Michael’s wild charge toward them, ignoring both their strikes, wasn’t stupidity—it was him using their power to temper his flesh. Worse, it worked.
