Chapter 6 Liquor, sex and -

  • I confronted her after I got dressed. I wore this feminine floral tube dress partnered with a pair of doll shoes. She looked at me from head to toe.
  • "And then?"
  • She asked, sounding so bored. She even adjusted her mascara spread a bit.
  • "He'll be my future husband. So don't speak ill about the man I'm going to spend my life with."
  • "What the fvck, Jade? Are you out of your mind? Grade 7- 'spend your life with'? Try to stretch your brain!"
  • I just stared at him and took the paper bag I had put my gift for Erato. I smiled looking at the pale pink ribbon on the paper bag. It’s a lace type or ribbon and the whole bag is black.
  • "Are you sure the party is here, Olivia?"
  • "Yes."
  • I looked around their house. There is no noise here. No balloons and all. I don't see any catering nor a group of people.
  • Why is their party so silent? I just followed Olivia who seemed so lazy zombie looking like. We entered their house and exited the pool area.
  • And there I saw a group of people, some soaked in the pool, some are just sitting on the table. It wasn't the scene I was expecting, I thought I'd see big speakers and catering but it wasn't like that.
  • Girls are on their swim wear, flaunting their asses and their boobs. Some get together and others have her-her partner. Some are having a dip in the pool and some are just sitting on the edge.
  • A few bottles of wine were scattered and the music that was making a noise there was not that loud. Olivia continued down the three large flights of stairs while I seemed to be pulled back. I stopped and stared at the event.
  • Olivia didn't notice my presence, she just proceeded somewhere on their area, reason why my sight lingered on the scene.
  • I saw her approach older brother Jax. In front of it was a woman wearing a two piece while on the table were a few bottles of wine.
  • I saw Jax's expression talking to Olivia, obviously he didn't expect to see his sister there. Olivia looking so out of place because of her cute outfit while she's surrounded by mature men and women.
  • I saw Olivia turn around and that's when she probably noticed I wasn't following her. She motioned for me to approach her but I ignored her because I immediately stared into the distance.
  • The bush surrounds Olivia’s pool area and on one side there is a bench made of stone and there are small lights on the side. I saw this lady in white 2 piece clinging her arms into this man.
  • It was dark on that side of the pool but it was still obvious that someone was there. I already knew who it was and I had an idea because he was the only one I didn't see in the scenario but I still tried to deny it to myself.
  • "Jade! I said come here!"
  • Olivia shouted.
  • Their attention was immediately aroused and everyone was curious as to who shouted and called.
  • I still ignored Olivia.
  • "Fvck Jade, what? Are you deaf? Jax is calling you."
  • I blinked a few times looking at Olivia, I never noticed that she was already here in front of me. I looked back at their place.
  • They seemed to be the only two people in the world. I gritted my teeth and my hold on the strings of the bag tightened.
  • "Oh? And at least now you've seen it. That! That's what you're defending."
  • I glared at her. I still didn’t want to believe him until I could see his face myself.
  • "That's not Erato."
  • I turned my back on her immediately and didn’t want to see that anymore. I burst into tears but I wiped them away immediately by blinking repeatedly. I walked straight up their stairs to Olivia's room.
  • "Now what? I thought you were going to have a party? My older brother told me to just bring food in my room and he didn't want us there."
  • "Why?"
  • Her mouth twitched at my answer.
  • "Obviously Jade, we are not allowed to be there. Unless you like to see how gross they are. "
  • I took a quick breath as I looked at the paper bag I had thrown over the bed. That's not him, Erato is not like that.
  • "I thought there's a party?"
  • I whispered to myself, wasn't expecting Olivia to hear it.
  • "There is. And that party is far from the party you were expecting. Stop being naive Jade, it's not just about ice creams and pizza. Cause the truth is their party is all about liquor, sex and-"
  • "No!"
  • I shouted and climbed on her bed to lean on the head board.
  • "What? Yes! What do you expect? That they even hired a clown for their party? We are just in 7th grade and they are in 12th grade. You don't expect them to enjoy our kind of party Jade!"
  • She growled and opened a bag of chips. Disappointed, I looked at my gift.
  • While Olivia started to open her TV, she had her own plan as if that was exactly what she knew would happen. Far from my plan for tonight. I was silent for a long time and when I made a decision I stood there.
  • "Oh, where are you going?"
  • I turned to her.
  • "I'll just give this to Erato."
  • She smirked and continue watching.
  • "If he didn’t accept it I’ll take it okay?"
  • I ignored her and headed straight for their corridor. The most common reason of why people give up, is because they think that don't have any chance.
  • I like Erato, and so I'll focus on that part of the story. Not the other woman or not my ego.
