Chapter 4 Send Her to the Nightclub
- At that moment, someone pushed her again with enormous force. It caused her to stumble and fall to the ground. Somehow, she landed on her knees right in front of Damon.
- She angrily glanced back, only to find no one there. All she could see was a cold, heavy door.
- Full of fury, she turned around and saw Damon seated on a black rocking chair. His black suit blended seamlessly with it, exuding an air of aloof elegance.
- Damon had been staring at Ava's face from the moment she entered the room in such an unusual way.
- "Is this your way of seeking forgiveness?" The man radiated an air of superiority as he looked down at the woman in front of him. A mocking smile adorned his lips.
- Seeing his arrogant and condescending attitude, Ava's anger flared up.
- She stood up abruptly and brushed the dust off her knees.
- Ava snapped, "Seeking forgiveness, my foot? If I commit a crime, the police will arrest me. There's no need for you to get involved, Mr. Lindon.
- "But speaking of crimes, isn't this illegal detention?"
- Furious, Ava yelled at Damon, baring her teeth in protest.
- This man had been indifferent to her five years ago. Even though they were now strangers, he continued to act as if she owed him millions.
- Ava was no longer the submissive and weak girl she once was.
- As a mother, she was determined to stand up against this capitalist oppressor and say no to him.
- Damon watched Ava's enraged expression, and a cold smile appeared in his eyes.
- Is this woman now playing the victim? Had she forgotten what she had done to him?
- Back then, she was as docile as a puppet, boring, and predictable.
- Now, she was a porcupine, bristling with spikes.
- Could it be that her previous obedience was all an act?
- Damon suddenly stood up and walked toward Ava. He towered over her.
- "Ava, stop pretending. How do you plan to settle the score for what you did to me five years ago?" Damon's voice was cold and emotionless.
- As Damon began listing her crimes, Ava felt her courage wane. She knew this vengeful man wouldn't let her off easily.
- "I gave you money, didn't I? It wasn't for free." Ava mustered her courage and started to argue. Halfway through, Damon's sharp glare silenced her.
- "In that case, I'll give you ten times the money to spend a night with a man you don't like. How about that?" Damon's anger was evident as he grabbed Ava's chin, his eyes burning with rage that threatened to burn her into ashes.
- Ava's heart raced as she saw Damon's furious expression. Her heart almost leaped out of her throat. She had expected to bear his wrath but hadn't anticipated this level of revenge.
- "Tell me, what kind of man do you like? I can arrange it. One, two, or more, as you wish."
- Damon savored the satisfaction of releasing years of pent-up frustration. Seeing Ava on the verge of collapse only heightened his sense of triumph.
- Every word he spoke dripped with vengeful delight, slicing into Ava's heart like a dagger and cutting her apart piece by piece.
- She had loved him silently for ten years, but this man hated her to the core.
- In her stunned silence, she heard Damon's deep and mellow voice call out to his assistant.
- Dave entered the room and asked respectfully, "Boss, what are your orders?"
- "Take this woman to the nightclub. Tell the manager she's available for clients," Damon ordered coldly, as if dealing with a stranger.
- Ava's pupils dilated upon hearing Damon's resolute tone. She couldn't believe how ruthless his revenge against her had become.
- "Hmm …" Dave looked at his enraged boss, then at Ava, who was curled up in a corner, hesitating about what to do.
- "What the matter? Are you defying my orders?" Damon shot Dave a fierce glare.
- Dave instantly stopped hesitating. He walked toward Ava and said with difficulty, "I'm sorry, Madam!"
- "She's no longer your Madam. Do you want to be sent to Nespiyca?" Damon's icy voice cut through the air.
- Ava abruptly stood up. Her eyes filled with despair as she stared at Damon. Suddenly, she laughed bitterly and asked, "Do you hate me that much?"
- "Yes, seeing you makes me sick," Damon replied coldly, turning away from her.
- Ava's smile was filled with sorrow. Even after five years, she had harbored hope in her heart.
- Now, it was completely shattered.
- For fifteen years, she had cherished him in a corner of her heart. Apparently, now was the time to let go.
- Attempting to warm this man's heart would only leave oneself cold.
- "Fine, I'll do as you wish. From now on, we're even. If we meet again, we'll be strangers!"
- Ava looked back at Damon, the light in her eyes dimming. She clenched her fists tightly and uttered a sentence full of despair. Then she resolutely turned to leave.
- Dave shook his head helplessly. As an observer, he had witnessed the boss push a woman who loved him to the brink of despair.
- He wondered if his boss would regret it later.
- He gently closed the door. Dave saw Ava walk away, and he quickly followed her.
- Meanwhile, Damon smoked one cigarette after another, slowly exhaling smoke rings. Watching the cars downstairs gradually disappear from his view, he felt extremely irritable.
- His revenge had succeeded, and he should have been happy. In reality, he felt as if a heavy stone was pressing on his heart and making it difficult to breathe.
- Damon knitted his brows and extinguished the cigarette in annoyance. He picked up his phone and headed downstairs.
- The driver had anticipated his needs and had the car ready. Damon quickly got in and ordered the driver to head to the nightclub.
- ...
- Siren Club.
- It was the city's largest nightclub and frequented by the elite.
- As the night fell, the club's name reflected its allure and attracted guests to visit. The neon lights shone brilliantly and cast a seductive glow.
- Wealthy young men often visited here and enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
- Dave parked the car and entered the club with Ava. A team of uniformed bodyguards followed them.
- "Madam, if you apologize to Mr. Lindon now, he might not be so heartless," Dave urged, feeling a pang of sympathy for her.
