Chapter 37 “Her Life Will Never Remain The Same”
- Clark stormed away, gaiting past the now empty spot he had left Aaron. He stormed back to the car, his anger simmering like a pot about to boil over. As he approached, he spotted Aaron by the side of the car, trying to get a call through the car dispatch, his face illuminated by the faint glow of Clark’s phone screen.
- Clark’s boots crunched on the gravel as he strode towards the driver’s seat. “That’s no longer necessary, let's go home, Aaron,” He growled, his voice low and somber.
- Aaron’s eyes widened in confusion as he turned to face Clark. “What do you mean? What happened?” he pressed, his voice laced with concern. “Where is Kimberly?”
