Chapter 26 Aria

  • I have an ally, I believe. The Luna of the pack seemed so friendly, and she appeared to agree to help me… she had sat with me for quite a while. We chatted, and there was a warmth to her that I cannot describe. It was almost like I felt able to trust her. Trust is a strange thing, and I know currently it is not something I am able to give out easily, so that would be difficult to say. But, she felt almost trustworthy. And, she seemed to listen when I asked her to help. She looked like she cared.
  • I had to cling to that hope, because without her, I fear I may be forever stuck here. Stuck in a place I did not want to be, in a place I did not belong, surrounded by people I did not know. That was not a future that filled me with hope, I have to say. I once again sat within my chair, having taken a shower. Though rather than sitting and staring out of the window like I had previously I had found myself sitting and looking at the beautiful flowers on the table next to my bed. I still did not know who had brought them for me. None of it made sense, but they were so stunning. The colors were so perfect… I imagine whoever they were from had spent some time carefully selecting them. All so delicately matched when chosen...
  • I allowed my finger to graze one of the delicate petals, trying to wonder who would put so much time and effort into choosing such beautiful flowers. Most people would just go to the store and grab some, right? But these were most certainly not store-bought. These were hand selected. Carefully considered. Much thought had gone into them... and again, the fact they were in my favorite color kept returning to my mind. How many people other than those close to me knew about that? Or could it have been a lucky guess?
