  • Roxy had the laser in her bag that day, always prepared for the unexpected, yet she did nothing. "I COULD HAVE USED IT ON HIM AND SAVED HER LIFE," she cried out in frustration, raising her trembling hands in the air.
  • "She could be here right now if it wasn't for ME," Roxy lamented, pounding her chest in anguish. "Not only could I have saved her once, but I could have saved her twice! When the paramedics examined her, she overheard one mention to a police officer that her mother had bled out, and with earlier help, there might have been a chance for her to live. BUT NO, THANKS TO ME, SHE'S DEAD!" She gestured towards herself, pierced by the weight of her failure.
  • Gazing at Andrew, Roxy blinked in a futile attempt to clear her vision, haunted by deep shame. "I failed her... twice," she whispered, overwhelmed by regret and self-condemnation.
