Chapter 4 I Think You're Pretty

• Kelly hadn’t bothered me today which was unusual but that probably means I missed her messing with Lee Lee. Not that I particularly only spent time with Kelly to see Lee Lee. But as I was walking I saw a tall dude I had never seen before. Normally it wouldn’t catch my attention but I saw him laughing and I saw who he was talking to and I was quite surprised. It was Lee Lee. She seemed to be ignoring him honestly and he seemed to be more into the conversation than her. But he was walking her to class.
• “Kazer, baby!” I hear Kelly call but I don’t even turn.
• “Who’s that?” I say gesturing to the guy walking with Lee Lee.
• “Oh that must be the new kid.” She said excitedly but then her tone turned down to annoyance “Oh! Well he’ll have to learn Lee Lee isn’t someone to talk to. I’ll be back imma go deal with that!”
• “Kelly.” But she was already walking off so I followed.
• She ran to the new guy and jumped in front of him and Lee Lee immediately but a paper over her face. Like she was trying to hide. I laughed.
• “You’re the new kid. Hi I’m Kelly.” She said in her peppy voice
• “Hi I’m Alex.”
• “It’s nice to meet you Alex. Maybe I can help you find your way to class!”
• “No thank you. I was already walking with someone.”
• “Oh you don’t want to walk with her. She’ll ruin your reputation here. And you don’t want to do that on your first day. Plus I heard you play baseball!” She said with a laugh. But the new guy didn’t laugh he looked more annoyed.
• “I do play. But I don’t actually care about reputation.”
• Kelly blinked like she heard something impossible. I stayed behind the new kid and Lee Lee so she wouldn’t see me. But she then tried to turn around and walk away and ran right into my chest and fell back on the floor.
• She looked up at me with such disgust it was funny.
• “Oh are you okay?” Alex quickly asked trying to help her up. But she continued to stare at me with hate.
• “Just fine.” I watched as her hand slipped into his hand and he wrapped his arm around her waist helping her up. And something about the whole thing pissed me off. My hand started clinching and I didn’t know why.
• The guy then looked at me like I was intruding. And I crossed my arms.
• “Oh this is Kazer, my boyfriend. Kazer this is Alex the new kid.”
• Neither of us said a word. We just stared at each other, at the corner of my eye I could see Lee Lee looking between the both of us.
• “Umm I need to get to class” she quickly added.
• “Of course Lee Lee.” I said looking at her. And she immediately looked at me with the most annoyed look.
• “Fuck off Kazer.”
• I laughed as she walked away. The guy looked at her and then back at me before calling after to her. I didn’t like him and I didn’t like how he was so close to her.
• “What’s wrong with him? Who the hell would want to be spend time with her.” Kelly added as she walked over to me while she also stared at them walking together.
• “Don’t know. Something’s with him though.” And I turned to leave.

• Well Alex must not be very smart because he keeps walking with me. Anytime he sees me in the hall he runs up to me. And I swear Kazer is mean mugging me more than usual. I’m starting to get concerned he might rip my head off soon with the way he’s staring.
• “What do you have for sixth period?” He asks.
• “History.”
• “Oh really? Me too. I have Mr. Xander.”
• Fuck me. He has my class. Why in the world does this world hate me. Now I have him in class plus Kazer. Oh god kill me now! I pinch my brow and let out a sigh.
• “Something wrong?”
• “Nope.” I said annoyingly.
• “Do you have him too?”
• “Mmmhhhmmm”
• I walked into class and immediately am faced with those fucking green eyes. God what is wrong with him. I go to my normal seat and I look around. And I immediately roll my eyes and drop my head down when I notice the only two empty seats in class is the one next to me and the one in front of that one.
• So Alex only has two choices and I have a feeling I know which one he’s picking.
• I can hear his bag rustling next to me and I slowly looked over to my right. Yup he sat next to me. I buried my face back into my hands and sigh. Life is horrible. Just horrible.
• I pop my head up and look at Alex. “Can I ask why you keep following me around and talking to me even though I’ve told you to stop?”
• “Isn’t it obvious?”
• “No. It isn’t obvious.” At this point I can feel Kazer’s eyes burning a whole in me. I look at the corner of my eyes to see him turned facing me. Staring like he about to kill. But I ignored it and look back at Alex.
• “I think you’re pretty.”
• My eyes widen and just blink for a few seconds. “Do… do what now?”
• He laughed at my confusion. “I think you’re pretty and I’d like to get to know you.”
• I sit back in my seat and say nothing. I’m not even a bit concerned about the horrid face Kazer’s making. Which normally would terrify me to a point of death. But my mind is a bit occupied by the bluntness of the dude next to me. Is he being serious?
• I’m not use to people talking to me, sitting with me or even being near me unless they’re picking on me. Pushing me and making sure I know how much they hate me. So this. Whatever this is. Is very new to me and I have no idea how to react to it.
• By time the teacher actually starts his lesson I haven’t heard a thing. I stare at the clock and count down the seconds for this class to end. Alex looks like he’s waiting for something but I have nothing to say to it. And the moment the bell rings I dart out the class with a speed I didn’t think was possible and run out of the school. Luckily a new kid isn’t going to have off campus and I can just go straight to work.
• I clear my head on the way to the garage and by time I get there all I wanna do is work on some cars!
