Chapter 3 Im New

  • -Kimberlee
  • Of course as I’m walking the hallway there’s Kelly, she doesn’t seem to have Kazer stuck to her hip today. I’m curious what’s the occasion. But that doesn’t mean I won’t have a freebie, if only.
  • “What’s up bitch?”
  • I ignore and keep walking but that doesn’t stop her. She pushes me and I land against the lockers.
  • “Kelly must we do this everyday.”
  • “Kimberlee must you be such a dumbass” she does in a stupid little tone.
  • I just rolled my eyes. Before she grips onto my hair. “Ahhh.” I start yelling as she keeps pulling me back, like she’s trying to get me to fall backwards. “Fuck.” I yell as my whole body falls back onto the floor.
  • “Now that’s better. The bitch needs to see who’s above her and where she belong. On the bottom! With the no bodies.” She lets go of my hair and starts walking off.
  • I start pulling myself up on my knees when I hear a deep voice. “Need some help?” I look up and see a tall kid I never seen before. Scruffy hair but slim and tall. I look at his hand for a second before looking back up.
  • “I’m fine.” As I try to get up. But he grabs my arm as I do and assists me.
  • “Don’t like taking help from strangers.”
  • “Usually when someone offers me help they’re never genuine about it. I’ve learned that the hard way.”
  • “Well maybe I’m different. I’m new here. My names Alex. Well really it’s Alexander but you can call me Alex.”
  • “Nice to meet you Alex. You might want to avoid me though. I’m like a plague at this school.”
  • He laughed. But I was being quite serious. “I was being serious no one likes me here. So if you want to make friends you might want to avoid me.” And I started walking away. But for some reason he didn’t take the hint and followed me.
  • “Well I need a friend you seem to need one we can be each other’s friend.”
  • “Let me ask you something.” I said stopping and looking over him. His figure and how he dressed reminded me of all the jocks at this school, “are you a jock?”
  • “I am.”
  • “Then you should really leave me be. The jocks hate me the most. The girl that pushed me is head cheerleader. Guys like you don’t hang out with girls like me.”
  • “Well who says I can’t though.”
  • “Wow you’re stubborn.”
  • He laughed. “Maybe I am.”
  • -Alex
  • Being the new student always sucks. I know because I’m the new student for the fourth time this year. My dad always gets moved for his job. The only time we don’t move is during baseball season because he makes sure to postpone any moves until I finish so I can make sure some colleges look at me for baseball. I just figured I’d make some friends on the baseball team and keep it small and simple since the season was starting and obviously this was going to be my new school for the duration of baseball. But then when I was walking I saw one of the most beautiful girls ever. Of course she was on the floor getting up. No idea what happened but I tried to offer my help. When she looked up at me I was even more mesmerized by her eyes they were the most beautiful gold color.
  • As she was getting up I grabbed her arms and helped her. She didn’t seem like she wanted her and expressed she didn’t. But I wanted to help her.
  • “I’m new here. My names Alex.”
  • “Nice to meet you Alex.” She said as she began to walk away. Wow she was really going to ignore me.
  • She expressed jocks don’t like her especially the cheerleaders and that I should stay away but I don’t think I want to. She called me stubborn the more I walked with her and it made me laugh.
  • “What’s your name?”
  • She looked at me from the corner of her eyes before sighing. “Kimberlee.”
  • “That’s a pretty name!”
  • “If you say so.”
  • I watched as we walked and a lot of people stared at us. Mostly her. And not in a good way. I guess she wasn’t wrong about not being liked but what could she have possibly done to have most of the school hate her. But I ignored it and kept talking to her. I could tell she was listening but she wasn’t wanting to answer so I just kept talking. As she walked to her class. I was still figuring out my schedule but no reason I couldn’t walk her to class right!
