• The moment Ezio’s eyes land on me, everything else in the room fades into the background, and I watch his expression change in real time, the polite curiosity he wore at the door now dissolving into something far more vicious as his gaze locks onto my tear-stained face. He does not ask permission to enter further or wait for Tyler to move aside, he simply steps past him as if he is an inconvenience in his path, shoving passed him without even looking at him, and walks straight toward me with that same composed confidence I remember from the lounge, the same presence that had drawn every eye in the room without him needing to raise his voice.
• “Hey, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Tyler shouts behind him, his voice laced with confusion and anger, but Ezio does not even acknowledge that he has spoken, which somehow feels more unsettling than if he had responded.
