Chapter 22

• My eyes flutter open before I stare up at the top bunk mattress and metal poles. I use my hands to try and find my phone around my bed and pull it out from down by my leg. The screen lights up with a message from Kayla and some others that I don't bother checking.
• I tap in my password before opening up mine and Kayla's message chat.
• 7:46AM: Kayla: Just wanted to see who's coming to the fair and how you're getting on. I have a class in 4 minutes so I wont see your reply till after. Love you.
