Chapter 9

• Rowan stood up abruptly and walked over to her, sitting on the desk just a few meters away from her, two or three. His arms were folded over his chest, his blue charming eyes had turned cold.
• When Sienna realized that he was sitting just in front of her, her jaws dropped. Her fingers began to swindle nervously.
• "What's going on, what are you fantasizing about?" This question from the Cursed Alpha hit her deep, her heart was gonna rip into two at this moment. Fear settled in her mind but upon this, her wolf was leaping for joy. It was fighting hard for control over her.
• The same thing was going on inside of Rowan.
• "Be still!" He scolded his wolf who was amused by Sienna.
• "Are we mates?" the prince narrowed his eyes as he asked Sienna this.
• Sienna arched her brows, not getting what he meant. Yes, she got it right but she wasn't getting it at all. It was a moment of confusion for her. Recalling who Rowan was, she needed to be sure of what he asked, so she wouldn't end up placing herself in trouble.
• Her eyes raised with pleas for the prince to repeat himself.
• "I asked, are we mates?" This time around, Rowan' tone was coated with sarcasm. Sienna's lips widened into a nervous chuckle, she lowered her gaze as she began playing with her fingers.
• "Did he just say that we are mates!" Her lips were moving in gentle mumbles, it escaped her mind that Alpha Rowan was looking at her with cold eyes.
• "Yes! Yes! Yes!" She immediately responded, smiling as the prince tapped her on her shoulder. Seeing how excited she got, he stood up with an irritated expression.
• "I'm sorry but I don't like girls like you!" He stormed off, returning to his seat. Sienna sat up, grabbing her chest.
• "What did he just say?" She questioned her wolf but it didn't say a word to her. Empress had gone silent, even with this, the rising sensations in her chest weren't gone.
• She shook her face. "No, I didn't mean whatever I said!" She pleaded.
• "I must have been a fool to confess my feelings to him!" She cried out, thinking she was speaking inside of her not knowing that Rowan heard every word she uttered.
• He was confused about why he should fall for another man's wife. He got up from the desk, walking briskly to the floor-to-ceiling window which surrounded the entire office.
• Sienna watched with horror as the prince stood over there without any motion. She contemplated falling on her knees to plead with him when he returned.
• "He's much colder than I thought, not nice at all." She shrugged her shoulders. "I regret ever coming here!" Her main self hated Rowan but how come her wolf liked him?
• She wondered.
• "Hope we're not what I'm thinking?"
• As she contemplated what to say, Carla's words rang a bell in her mind.
• "The main thing, the very first thing you should have in mind is to talk about Gary's treatment of you. Don't forget this. He will absolutely punish him." It repeated in her mind. She rose from her seat. At once, the prince turned around, with their eyes meeting.
• Sienna's stomach churned. She swallowed the lump in her throat. The gas in her lungs was about to explode.
• Rowan was amused by her reaction, he could sense them all. "You have something important to say to me?”
• Alpha Rowan sat on his seat. Sienna wasn't so pleased with this.
• "I dislike him!" She said inside of her. "He's showing too much arrogance and dominance. I hate Alphas like this!" She dropped her gaze to the floor, refusing to look at him any longer. Sienna cleared her throat as she moved a step backwards.
• "I have an issue I wanted to report to you," She put up a frown.
• "What's that?" Rowan responded with an equally cold face. He clasped his hands together on the desk
• "I had an issue with my husband," she began.
• "What with him?" His lips went twisted with irritation. It seemed he was jealous. Sienna could see the gaze, he was beginning to feel uncomfortable.
• She smirked deep inside of her. Since he didn't want to see her admire him, she pretended to have moved on.
• "Alpha Gray of the Harlow Pack promised not to take another Luna when he married me but recently I watched how he took my little stepsister as his wife. He claimed she's his fated mate but he...." her voice got choked up.
• Rowan' eyes grew dull with concern. The depth of her husband's betrayal weighed her down and she sank to her seat. Tears had formed in her eyes, and coupled with the harsh way Rowan treated her, she was weakened.
• "I'm gonna turn into a rogue soon!" She cried out to herself.
• Alpha Rowan walked over to her, standing behind her. Slowly he set his hand on her shoulder, Sienna turned to look with shock.
• "Hmm, I'm here for you........."
• She stood up, rubbing her eyes. "Guess I'm dreaming?" She asked herself. It was real.
• "It's no dream!"
• She shook hearing him say this, there was no doubt. "I said this inside of me. How did he get to me if he isn't my mate."
• "Then if it is, why is he denying it?" These thoughts cascaded on her mind, she couldn't get a response to them. Alpha Rowan was still staring, his gaze mixed with pity and concern.
• "What changed him so suddenly?" She wondered. "Could it be my complaint of becoming a rogue?" It's only an enemy that would wish someone to become a rogue. It was a gruesome experience of rejection and lack.
• Without notice, Alpha Rowan circled his hand around Sienna again. His scent descended on her so deeply, that she was wallowing in the aura of his presence.
• She couldn't withstand it without sending out signals. Rowan' wolf was tormenting him, he couldn't abandon Sienna even when his heart kicked against him taking a mate.
