Chapter 6

  • "Trust me! I'm the Alpha of this pack, all authority rests on my shoulders, so what I tell the judges is what they will do."
  • "Do you think they will listen to you, huh?" He sneered.
  • Still, Sienna didn't say anything.
  • He leaned over her on the bed, Sienna was shifting away. She so much found him disgusting and didn't want to get any closer to him.
  • “I just thought it very wise to tell you ahead of time so watch your actions and stay out of our way, Dera and I!”
  • “Hmm,” Sienna scoffed. “Why do you still keep me when you don't want me?”
  • “I wouldn't warn you again!” Gary stormed out of the room, slamming the door so hard that Sienna had to block her ears. She feared the door was going to rip off from its handle.
  • After the door closed, Sienna was back to her life of loneliness. Gray coming here to warn her worsened the whole case. She feared she wasn't gonna sleep for the next two nights.
  • When she could no longer control the pain she felt, she went straight to meet her cousin who lived on the ground floor of the estate the next morning. Banging in without knocking on Carla's was normal except when she was with her partner which she often told her beforehand.
  • She went directly to the bed and sat there without saying anything. Carla knew something was wrong, even without her saying anything.
  • "Baby, what's going on? You had another issue with the Alpha or Dera?" She walked over to Sienna.
  • "Don't worry….." Sienna stammered, being so thoughtful in expression. “I'll be fine,” she assured herself. "I've always had issues with them but....." her voice trailed off.
  • "Dera accused me of threatening to kill her before the Alpha Council President, Gray even forced me on my knees to apologize. Gosh, it was so embarrassing but I'm glad I wasn't so soft on him." She sniffed.
  • "What!" Carla's heart was thumping. "You said?"
  • "Don't worry," She smiled. "I didn't stay down for long, I resisted and got up and I also retaliated," Sienna replied while Carla nodded. This is what she wanted to hear.
  • "But he came to my room thereafter and warned me to stay away from him and Dera, lest he would divorce me and force me to pay him. Why is he even keeping me and why am I still staying here when I'm not being treated well?"
  • "We have to do something about this, baby. It's either you leave or you send Dera away!" Carla suggested. “But I'll love you to leave, I'll come with you. Gray no longer loves you if he could do this. Whether Dera leaves or not, he will still remain the same.”
  • She couldn't watch as her cousin continued to suffer this.
  • "Still revenge should be the key word, whether you leave or wish to stay. I'm right here behind you." Carla's words gave Sienna great strength. She nodded.
  • "I'll be going to my room now, let me leave you to work." Carla pulled her into a tight hug, giving her a perk on her cheeks before releasing her to go.
  • "Please don't fail to update me on anything that's going on!" She had the money and she had worldwide connections, she couldn't be silenced. That's why she stood behind Sienna with all confidence.
  • Sienna nodded to get the request and left her room, closing the door behind her. She tried to control her fast breaths. There were a lot of thoughts running through her mind, as she wondered what was the best action to take in such a case.
  • "Should I save this marriage or send Dera away?" She thought inside of her, confused. Both weren't as easy as she thought, she needed to make sure she was spending her energy on the right thing.
  • "If I'm going to save this marriage, I need a plan. A good one!" She told herself, either which Gray was still gonna pay for it.
  • She was comparing between these two options. Confusion struck her, hopelessness was slowly setting in. After a while, she felt exhausted.
  • "Instead of continuing with this, I'd rather shift and take a run round the woods to relieve myself."
  • "I can't deal with this immediately, I need to take a break!"
  • Getting into her car, she drove out of the estate to the woods which were located some meters away. It was secluded, there was no one, and this was the type of environment she needed to quit her nerves.
  • She sat on the wooden bench by the side of the lonely road for a while, releasing tension. Then she resorted to pulling off her clothes. She couldn't shift with them on, she would end up ripping them when she was about to shift back.
  • With a very deep breath, she began to shift. Her fingers began to change to claws, she observed her bones breaking, and her furs were coming out of her skin.
  • It didn't take long before a white wolf stood in the place where she initially stood in her human form.
  • Sienna enjoyed many hours of running around the wild, which was very massive. She felt like a child again, her heart was free and merry. She didn't want to return to the estate.
  • "That hellish estate!" She growled. She wanted to remain here forever but as time went on, she knew she had to go. She wouldn't be able to solve her problem by running away from them but by confronting them.
  • She feared that when she shifted back to her human form, the problem that seemed to go away would be back.
  • "There's no way out apart from fighting it!"
  • "You can do it! I trust in you!" Her wolf, Empress told her.
  • Sienna placed a call on Carla as she returned to the estate. She had a plan and she couldn't wait to tell her.
  • "Hey girl, are you doing something right now?"
