Chapter 23 Unleashing Hunger

• The damp stone floor was slick with Evana's boots. The vampire youngster behind her let forth a sick, ravenous roar. Its eyes, blazing with rage and hunger, fixed on her. Too quickly for her to respond, it passed by in a haze.
• Then, the teeth dug into her shoulder.
• As the child bit deeply, Evana screamed and staggered back. Her blood was heated. Like fire, pain rushed through her veins. She fell to the ground after her knees buckled.
