• Kayla’s breath heightened as Adrian stood before her, his piercing gaze making her feel both vulnerable and trapped in the moment. The air between them felt intense, thick with tension that had been building ever since their last meeting.
• “You’re late baby girl,” Adrian’s voice was smooth but commanding. His hand rested on the top of the chair , his posture calm and relaxed , but everything about him screamed control.
• “I'm so sorry" she panicked, her heart racing.
