• Olivia returned to Claire and Antony’s residence late in the afternoon. She was quite surprised to see Ayeleen—who hadn’t been living with them for some time due to work commitments out of town—sitting casually in the living room with her phone in hand. As Olivia opened the door, the girl put her phone down and looked at Olivia and Gianna alternately, a sweet smile on her face.
• “Long time no see,” the girl greeted, standing up from her seat.
• Olivia returned the greeting with a nod. Even now, she couldn’t bring herself to act sweet or pretend to be friendly toward Ayeleen, even though, as her daughter-in-law in that house, she was supposed to. Ayeleen, however, seemed completely unbothered by Olivia’s cold demeanor.
