• Ignazio blinked as a harsh light pierced his eyes. He woke up instantly and realized he was alone in Olivia’s room.
• “Olivia?” he called out, his gaze darting to the closed bathroom door. He quickly got up, striding toward it, worried that she might have fainted inside. But when he opened the door—nothing. The room was empty.
• He hurried out of Olivia’s room and checked their bedroom. No sign of her. Then he tried Gianna’s room—but again, Olivia wasn’t there.
