- “Your sister was taken too?” Emersyn shifted to look at him more easily and discovered her ankle wasn’t as numb as she’d thought.
- “Yes. She was four.” His tone was empty as he said it.
- “I’m sorry.” It was an automatic response, but she meant it. “Have you found her?”
