- Malik looked at her for a moment and then turned to look at Konner. “Do you think it is possible that there are mates between our kind?”
- Konner drew in a long breath and exhaled slowly. “At one time, we were all one people.”
- “This is true.” Gali nodded. “The stories are from another time, but it could be again that we are one people.”
